Christmas Photos

Well while Christmas is still sort of here........... still have the decorations up although the tree came down yesterday I thought that I would post some of my thoughts about how crazy this year was. We never really seemed to catch our breaths from about the middle of December and thats even though I had done a lot of my shopping early. It just seemed to be one mad dash after the next. So NEXT year I plan on trying to have almost all of my shopping done by August! Crazy huh? BUT I figure that is half the battle. If I am going to go out and spend $70 odd on a real tree then I would like to be able to actually sit down and enjoy it! We were not able to do that at all this year.
Next year I promise myself that I will SIMPLIFY if its too hard or too time consuming or STRESSFUL I am not doing it plain and simple!

Scrappers Block is OVER!

I was trying to remember the last time I scrapped and realized that it was before we moved to the new house back in the beginning of May sometime! That is unreal. I have turned out a few cards and made a few altered items as gifts etc but thats about it.

I decided to christan my scrap book room today and join in and do some of the New Years challenges from my FAVOURITE scrapbooking site www.scraplovers.com.

This is the first layout challenge which was to use Navy and pair it with either pink, lime green or white and tan. This is what I came up with. I cannot say how much I enjoyed trawling through my scrap stuff and pulling out papers and not worrying weather they are the newest and coolest for a Design Team project. Its kinda nice to mix and match like I did on this lo using chatterbox and scenic route papers.

I chose the song " You're Beautiful" from James blunt as my inspiration for this layout and hand journalled ..........my love is pure, I saw an angel of that I'm sure.......

I am pleased with the overall effect , it is very simple and clean lined but it seems to work.
