I "Lurve" Bling

There is no denying it! I am in love with all things "bling" when it comes to creating. I have always had pots and pots of glitter way before it was "in". Same thing with jewel type embellishments, they have always been in my scrap stash. BUT I love love love the newer bling letters and frames and stuff! Also AGAIN used my deco scissors but this time I used a smaller scallop in green for the actual outside borders of my layout. I think it really ties it all together. I know I am also repeating the dark blue acidy lime green colour combo but it really makes a statement with out too much fuss. I love it! So overall as simple as this layout is I enjoyed the design aspect of it.

Can I also say a big woohoo on March Break being over and kiddies back to school?!! Although walking Paige to school in a sleety slush BLIZZARD was not really my ideal morning wake up call. Usually prefer coffee for that!
I also did something today that I was a bit unsure of. I went back to a couple of layouts that have been bothering me. They never felt really complete and I redid them well I shifted things a bit here and there and then added some finishing touches. I am so pleased now with the final result of this one. I just added some gems to the doodled flowers and shifted the photo a bit and now I feel like it is finished. So by doing this though it does make me wonder if I should just leave things as is and take it as a learning curve and try not to be so perfectionist with stuff. HMMMM?!!!

Can You Say Happy?

Can you say Happy?

Well I have to say that I am a very happy girl right now because of this!!SCRAP THERAPY! http://www.scraptherapy.ca/ FINALLY a new local scrap store! WOOHOO!
Apart from Micheal's which is OK for the basics there is not much else out there. There was but they would not stay current with what people wanted so one by one they all closed down.
This store ROCKS and she is more than happy to hear what you would like to see in and I have to say thank god she is up to date on what is "new and hot". The prices are fantastic too so this will really cut down on shipping expenses for me and will not have to buy as much online or from the states either!
I have stocked up on a bit of new patterned paper, bazzill and even some bazzill bling not to mention some thickers and mm glitter letters( I can never have enough of these!) and a few other bits and bobs! So if any of you local gals need to stock up stop by her store it is right by the Baskin and Robins on Dougal near Walmart!
I have even booked Paige's eighth birthday part there in April and I think we will be doing a smaller version of this booklet made by Shimelle ( http://www.shimelle.co.uk/ ) as shown here on Fiskars tv: http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/tv/ . Shimelle so inspired me to go and and buy MORE deco scissors ( I had to have the cloud ones she was using) can you believe that?!!! Ha! Ha!
I have all sorts of ideas swirling through my head for layouts and photo's printed so am hoping to get some serious scrapping accomplished soon!

Well Misty and Jazzy have gone home to their parents but it was fun cat sitting them but nice not to have quite so much hair and cleaning of litter boxes! Still make much better house guests than some! The house does seem very empty though with just one cat again!
Oh and as you may have noticed by the green writing HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!
No green beer for us today.......well maybe later see how the day goes but I am making green cupcakes for church tomorrow.
We will also be going shortly to acquire a new Beta as our last one FINALLY went on its water roller coaster ride to fishy heaven after can you believe this 4 years!!!!I did not think that they were supposed to live this long! He was a very sick fishy for a long long time and it always looked like he was just laying on the bottom of his tank. So it is a relief because I worried that he was suffering but could not for the life of me flush him before his time lol! This time we are going to get some of the live water plants for the fish bowl to float on topas heard it is supposed to be better for fishy we shall see!
