Winter Fun and Winter Storm Warnings

It has been a strange sort of week. The good news is that after years of living in Windsor without being able to get a family Doctor we finally got one and a great one at that. The relief is unbelievable and this doc is not wasting any time. He has Waun and I scheduled for a gazillion things such as physicals, the lovely boob squish( mammogram), etc, etc. Oh Waht fun!!
I am dancing up and down with excitement well you get the picture right? I have been drooling over these GORGEOUS kits by http://scrappygiraffekits.com/ for a couple of months now and finally I could not help it but I am getting one! Woohoo! Thanks a lot Sandie for feeding my addiction further! If you have not yet checked out this site GOOOOOOO! Do it! There is some amazing talent and inspiration in the gallery as well!
On a happier note we finally have winter in these parts and we have been having some fun with it! We are currently under a WINTER STORM WARNING so we shall see what that brings supposedly 6 inches of snow starting at midnight tonight and carrying on through Monday morning. I am soooooo glad that I do not have to go to work on Monday!
Last Sunday we went boot skating on the local frozen river with some friends from church and we had a blast! But boy was it cold brrrrrrrrrrrrr. Here are some pics of our day!

Been Tardy!

With updating this blog AGAIN!!! I managed to scrap a bit finally last night and this morning. Scraplover's was having a cyber crop so I managed to get two layouts done so far for the challenges.

Saturday was a very productive day for Paige. While her Tourette's seems to be settling down a bit we are still of course pursuing every alternative avenue that we see fit. It cannot hurt and it is worth trying if we can get a positive result. An online chum who's daughter is a bit older than Paige also has Tourette's told me how she took her daughter for a type of massage similiar to cranial sacro massage and it did wonders for her really really helped. So after much researching I found a highly recommended massage therapist for Paige. Paige had no problem lasting the whole hour and I really could see results. As the therapist worked her way up her spine Paige would spasm into a tick and you could then just see her relax and all the tension leave that area as it was worked on. We go back on Wednesday for another session. So fingers crossed that this will be helpful.

Last weekend Paige also worked on her chefs badge for Brownies and she was adorable. She had to find a recipe, write a grocery list, shop follow a recipe etc( cooking on stove with help from me) She made tacos and a Jello cool whip dessert. She also set the table and washed the dishes. It was the best meal I ever had because it was made by her. She really looked adorable in her apron etc. Here is a couple of pics of her at work!
All from me for now.

I am DONE

Paige has requested this music for my blog as it is her new favourite song after we were playing around on the Scissors Sister web site. So apologies to those of you who hate this song but its for Paige! Will change it again in a few days back to something for "everyone"!!
Well after much indecision and everything I own in scrap supplies in the colours of red, pink white and black I ended up going very simple with this layout. My original sketch started out a bit more fussy but after loads of moving bits about I ended up with a less is more layout. I have not yet decided if I will ink up the edges yet or not but have a feeling I will. So this is my layout submission for the guest Design Team call at Scraplovers. Not sure if it is THE final layout or not. Time will tell!

Well that's it! My submissions for the Guest Design Team at Scraplovers. I had a lot of fun doing them and regardless of getting a spot or not it made me for once scrap a holiday themed layout as such which is something I usually do not enjoy so much. I I really wish the scan of the layout and this photo would come out brighter than this though because in real life they are very bright and glittery and full of bling.
Well I am glad I submitted anyway! Now I can get on and finally put together my I confess project from Shimelle's class. I am a bit behind on that one!

February Already!

What the heck it is the month of LOVE so a bit of red writing seems apt!

So its been about 10 days or so since my last post lots happening but nothing exciting really.

I am busy right now working on a layout and a project for the March, April Guest Design Team spot at my favourite online store and site http://www.scraplovers.com/. I figured what the heck nothing ventured, nothing gained and I am over my Design Team burnout lol! The main thing is I am having fun. The only requirement is that the them of PASSION must be used. I am almost certain that this
this photo or something similar will be used but not yet 100% sure:

It is the time of year that along with valentines and heart shaped everything something else hits the store shelves! Are you ready for it?? A disgustingly sweet and calorie laden treat, a forbidden pleasure if you will perhaps even a secret passion? Yup have one of these STARING me down on my art desk thanks to Waun but I will not give in yet!

I had a really busy weekend Keri my sister came up to help me with an Usborne book fair at St. Clair College which went well. If nothing else we made some fabulous contacts and spent a quality day together as well. I have to say there are some fabulous new title release out right now for February so if you are interested I am placing my order Friday evening. You can check out the latest titles herehttp://www.usborne.ca/newtitles.htm.

On Friday night we went to a CM crop not really my thing but wanted to support a girl just starting out selling Creative Memories stuff and I do swear by their cutting system. My pals Denise and Tracy also came along. As usual not a lot of scrapping went on but a lot of talking. the thing I hate most about going out to crops is always seeming to take EVERYTHING but the kitchen sink along. I always say that I will be preplanned and be organized but that never happens! So I am much happier to tinker along in my scrap room with everything in its place the way I like it!
Here is my sister Keri( on the left) and my chum Denise straight of the boat from the UK at the crop!
